PrintPlast is proud to announce our partnership with Four Seasons Yacht, the legendary hospitality brand's celebrated venture into luxury sea travel. For guests sailing aboard, we have produced bespoke wooden RFID wristbands that replace the traditional plastic key card with something far more fitting for life on the water: a hand-finished walnut plaque on a woven navy cord, carrying the iconic Four Seasons tree emblem.

From sun-drenched Mediterranean harbors to turquoise Caribbean anchorages, Four Seasons Yacht brings the brand's signature service to the sea. Every detail on board is considered, and that now includes the very first thing a guest receives when stepping aboard. Instead of a card slipped into a pocket, guests are welcomed with a wristband that feels like a piece of the yacht itself — warm wood, nautical cord, and quiet, confident branding.

A Wearable Key Crafted for Life at Sea

The design brief was clear: create a guest key that belongs on the deck of a world-class yacht. The result is a smoothly contoured plaque cut from sustainably sourced dark walnut, chosen for its deep, even grain and natural warmth. The Four Seasons tree logo and "FOUR SEASONS YACHT" wordmark are applied in crisp white using precision UV printing, letting the wood's character show through around the branding rather than covering it.

The plaque is threaded onto a hand-woven navy macramé cord — a deliberate nod to maritime rope-work — with a sliding knot closure that adjusts to any wrist. The closure uses no buckles or clasps; the complete RFID assembly may include electronic and assembly materials. The wristband sits comfortably through a day that might include breakfast on deck, an afternoon ashore, a swim, and dinner under the stars.

Inside the walnut plaque lies a fully encapsulated RFID inlay, compatible with the vessel's electronic lock and guest-recognition infrastructure. A gentle tap opens the suite door. The same wristband can support onboard payments, spa and facility access, and shore-excursion check-ins — one wearable key for the entire voyage, with the chip options hotels and cruise operators already know from our wooden key cards.

Wooden RFID Access for a Brand That Sails the Ocean

For a hospitality brand whose home is the sea, the case against plastic guest credentials is stronger than anywhere else. Conventional PVC key cards and plastic wristbands are exactly the kind of single-use synthetics the marine environment can least afford. A wooden RFID wristband turns that liability into a statement: the material on the guest's wrist reflects the ocean-minded values of the voyage itself.

Our wooden wristbands are produced from responsibly harvested timber. Confirm the selected finish and its suitability for humidity, sun and salt air on a representative finished sample. End-of-life treatment depends on the complete plaque, including its RFID inlay, bonding materials and finish, and on locally available facilities; wood alone does not establish complete-assembly biodegradability or a zero-microplastic result. It is the same philosophy behind the eco-friendly key cards we produce for leading resorts and hotels around the world, translated into a wearable form built for the deck rather than the front desk.

Just as importantly, guests simply love wearing them. A beautifully made wooden wristband is a keepsake, not a throwaway. Long after disembarkation, it stays on wrists and desks as a quiet reminder of the voyage — the kind of organic brand presence no plastic card ever achieves.

"On a yacht, every object earns its place. A guest key made of warm walnut and woven rope doesn't just open a suite door — it tells the story of the voyage every time a guest glances at their wrist. That is what wearable access should feel like."

Why Luxury Operators Are Switching to Wooden RFID Wristbands

The Four Seasons Yacht project reflects a broader movement we see across high-end hospitality: resorts, beach clubs, spas, and now luxury vessels are moving guest access from plastic cards to wearable, sustainable credentials. The advantages compound quickly. Wristbands are never left behind in the room, never demagnetized in a pocket next to a phone, and never need a lanyard or cardholder.

For operations teams, the RFID inlay behaves exactly like the credential systems they already run — the wristbands are encoded on the same infrastructure as standard key cards and are compatible with major electronic lock platforms. For brand teams, the customization canvas is unmatched: wood species, plaque shape, engraving or UV print, cord colors and weave patterns can all be tailored to the property's identity, as with this project's navy nautical cord.

PrintPlast Craftsmanship, from Shoreline to Ship

Producing a guest credential for Four Seasons Yacht meant meeting the same standard the brand applies to every object on board. Each plaque is individually cut, sanded, and finished, then printed and quality-checked by hand. RFID read range and encoding integrity are verified on every single unit before shipping. Confirm how durability under repeated daily use is validated for the approved finished construction and intended service conditions.

Our production combines the natural variation of real wood with the consistency luxury brands require: logo placement, color density, and cord tension are held to tight tolerances across the entire run, so the thousandth wristband welcomes a guest exactly as beautifully as the first.
